Attorney Paul F.X. Schwartz has been practicing law since 1995. Prior to his law school graduation from UW Law School in 1995, he was a teacher for twenty years and the President of a teacher's union. Since 1995, Schwartz has been specializing in the areas of criminal law and labor law.

Attorney Schwartz has vigorously defended individuals charged with felony, misdemeanor, and probation revocation cases both on the state and federal levels. Additionally, he has worked vigorously on behalf of his clients in juvenile and mental commitment cases. In the area of labor law, he handles workers compensation, unemployment compensation, discrimination and contract cases. He has represented clients at numerous workers compensation and unemployment compensation hearings on both the employee and employer side. Currently, he represents the YWCA in the areas of labor law. As the attorney for the YWCA, he has achieved six outright dismissals of discrimination cases prior to hearing.

Schwartz is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, the Dane County Bar, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NACDL), the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (WACDL), and the Dane County Criminal Defense Attorney's Association. Schwartz is licensed to practice law in state courts in Wisconsin as well as the Eastern and Western District of Wisconsin and the Northern District of Illinois on the federal level, and before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
